Year 6 at Fairthorne

Year 6 are ending the year on a high at Fairthorne Manor!

This week, Year 6 teachers are taking their children on the annual residential trip to Fairthorne Manor, an outdoor activity venue set in the heart of Hampshire countryside.  With 94 acres of land to explore including ample camping grounds, woodlands, an enclosed lake, plus an entrance to the upper reaches of the River Hamble, there's lots of opportunity for fun and teamwork one last time before the Year 6s head off to secondary school!

This week, children will be taking part in adventurous activities incluing the vertical assault, camo + tracking, orienteering and the aerial runway. They'll also be eating together three times a day and taking part in some fun evening activities, including a disco and campfire.

This will be one of the first times some of the children will have stayed away from parents overnight, and it's always a great opportunity for teachers to see children in a different light - and how grown up they are too!

We're sure they'll have lots of stories to tell when they come back on Friday and memories to last a lifetime!
