Bikeability

This week, children in Year 5 have been doing some important cycling training out on the playground and roads.

It started off as a very wet week as children learned about correct maintenance techniques for their bikes on Monday morning, but as the week went on and the sun started to head out onto the roads, children had a great experience learning how to ride safely, including careful observation and signalling techniques. With it being a four day week at school, the children had to concentrate extra hard to cram in their training, which usually lasts five days, and the instructors were very impressed with their behaviour and dedication. Learning to ride a bike safely is such an important life skill, so well done to the Year 5s for giving it your all!
