Mould Investigation
After setting up an experiment last week, the children in year 5/6 spent their Wednesday afternoon this week finding out whether they had grown mould!
Last week, they left pieces of bread in sandwich bags all over the school to test out what conditions mould grows best. Some children also tested whether moisture and darkness affected growth rate.
They have been incredibly reflective in the past week, checking back in on their pieces of bread to see what conditions were leading to the mould to grow the most. Despite the smell, the children were incredibly resilient when publishing their results table and made some fantastic links back to their predictions. Great work everyone!
