The Try-Wizard Tournament

For the past few weeks, Year 5 and 6 have been working extra hard in their Literacy lessons!

If you've read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, you'll know all about the Tri-Wizard Tournament - the inter-school challenge between Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang to find the ultimate champion amongst its students. This week, we've been running our own TRY-Wizard Tournament in Literacy lessons, with a prize on offer for those who teacher felt have been trying the hardest!

Children have enjoyed writing Howlers to Hogwarts students from either Snape, Hagrid or Dumbledore, and everyone has produced a piece of writing that they should be proud of. It was a hard decision as everyone has been working super hard, but ultimately, each class could only have one winner! The prize was a game of chocolate Four-In-A-Row to share between them - congratulations to our writing champions!
