Science rocks!

In 3 and 4 we launched our new topic of 'rocks' and have surprised the pupils on how very interesting rocks can be! We started learning about volcanoes and the structure of our planet. Some classes also made volcano fortune-tellers which showed all the different parts and layers of a volcano. It has been wonderful to see the pupils bring Mrs Bryant rocks in the playground and try to identify them or guess how old they are. It's so important to value and experience the world around us, taking part in science is not just in the classroom at Highfield :)
