Aspire Trust Cup

A HUGE well done to all the year 6 children that represented the school in the Aspire Trust football festival.

Last week, we took three football teams to represent Highfield in the Aspire Trust Cup, hosted at Cantell. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to play against other schools within the Aspire Trust while also coming together as a wider community.

The festival began with a special opening ceremony, where each school shared its values and highlighted what makes it unique. This was a fantastic way for the children to learn more about one another’s schools and celebrate the diversity within the Trust.

The children spoke proudly about Highfield’s values, explaining how peace, courage, and respect are at the heart of everything we do. They shared how we support one another, celebrate our differences, and always try our best both on and off the field. It was wonderful to see their confidence as they represented the school and expressed what makes Highfield such a special place to learn and grow.

Here is what the children said about Highfield's values:

"At Highfield, we show the value of peace by showing kindness to one another and looking after our school. We look to spread peace by being positive and making our school a happy place to be."

"We look to show courage inside the classroom by answering questions, asking for help, taking on challenges and speaking up for others."

"We also show courage outside of the classroom by performing on stage in Dance Live, representing the school in sporting events and looking to help our local community."

"We show our final core value, respect, by actively listening to teachers and peers,  using polite manners, following the school rules and caring for our environment."
