Year 5/6 Celebrate E-Safety Week with a BBC Live AI Lesson
As part of E-Safety Week, children in Years 5 and 6 took part in a BBC Live Lesson all about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it affects our lives online.
During the session, the children learnt what AI is, where it is commonly used and how it can be both helpful and challenging. The lesson explored real-life examples, helping pupils understand how AI makes decisions based on data. There was also a strong focus on staying safe online, including the importance of thinking critically about what we see, hear and share when technology is involved.
The children were highly engaged throughout the lesson and shared their own personal experiences of AI. The session provided a great opportunity to link computing, digital literacy and online safety.
Well done to Year 5/6 for their enthusiasm and excellent discussions!
