Metacognition

In our meta-cognition lessons so far this half-term, the children have been incredibly reflective when talking about managing conflict and listening to others.

We have explored, through class discussion and drama, examples of common conflicts that occur throughout the school day and how to manage these situations calmly. We then looked at the importance of listening to others' thoughts and feelings and how to do this to manage conflicts. We focused on using the metacognitive cycle of ‘planning, connecting and reflecting’ to help resolve similar problems in the future!
