Building a love of reading
At Highfield, we understand the importance of building a love for reading from a young age.
Every day, we have a story together as a class. The children love discussing what we have read as a class. We talk about the characters and how they are feeling, why they have made their choice and what they might do next. We look at the settings and discuss how they are similar or different to their own experiences.
