Read, Write Inc Training

Here at Highfield Primary, we are committed to providing the very best start for our children's literacy journey. We are thrilled to announce that our dedicated staff have recently completed intensive training in the Read Write Inc. (RWI) phonics programme.

RWI is a highly respected, systematic synthetic phonics programme designed to teach children to read and write quickly and effectively. By using a structured approach to blending sounds and decoding words, this program ensures every child builds confidence and fluency in their early reading.

Working with the English Hub

To ensure our phonics provision is truly fantastic, we are working in close collaboration with the local English Hub. This partnership provides us with expert support, resources, and ongoing professional development opportunities to refine and enhance the way we teach reading.
