Book reviews!

It has been wonderful to see the children immerse themselves in a fantastic range of Year 5/6 texts this week. They have enjoyed exploring different authors, genres and styles of writing before choosing a book that captured their interest to read and study in greater depth.

After spending time getting to know their chosen texts, the children put their ideas and opinions into writing by creating fantastic book reviews. They thought carefully about what made their books engaging, shared their favourite aspects and considered how they could persuade others to pick up a copy and give it a read.

We have been so impressed by the children’s enthusiasm for reading and the thoughtful way they have shared their recommendations. We hope their brilliant reviews will inspire others to discover a new favourite book! You can find these reviews in the Asia corridor!
