Periscopes!
The classes have loved learning about how light travels and creating periscopes to demonstrate their understanding!
In Year 5/6, the children have been fully immersing themselves in their exciting new topic of light! They began by recapping their knowledge of light and light sources from Years 3/4 before moving on to explore how light travels.
After using mirrors and torches to demonstrate that light travels in straight lines, the children worked in pairs to put their learning into practice by creating their very own periscopes using cereal boxes and mirrors. Throughout the challenge, they demonstrated fantastic perseverance, resilience and creativity as they worked together to solve problems and refine their designs.
