Name the Crane!
The children in year 5 have really enjoyed working collaboratively to design and name one of the new cranes coming to Southampton port!
DP World Southampton is currently awaiting the delivery of four new cranes to Southampton docks. Once installed, these impressive structures will become the largest quay cranes in Europe, playing a vital role in supporting global trade through the Port of Southampton.
To celebrate this milestone, the Year 5s have been able to enter a cranes and drawing competition to be in with the chance of naming one of these new cranes! In groups, first the children decided on a final name for their crane and then published a picture of the final design.
