RE Ponder Time

Children had the opportunity to learn about devotion in the context of religious festivals. They chose a religion they wanted to learn more about!

It was so fantastic to see all the children so engaged and enthusiastic about the religious festival they were learning about. In one class, children were learning about the Jewish celebration of Passover, and they created their very own Elijah's cup. Another group of children learnt about Ramadan and Eid in Islam, and they created lanterns for the celebration. Then finally, another class learnt about Vaisakhi in the Sikh faith which was led by a Sikh child in the year group. They created their own Kirpan knife. Overall, it was a really brilliant morning and the children learnt so much about other faiths and their celebrations!
