Girl's football success!

A HUGE well done to all the children that took part in the Southampton Schools girl's football tournament. We took a team of year 5s and a team of year 6s, and they did the school proud with their teamwork, resilience and courage on the pitch! They each played 3 group games. Our year 6 team won all their matches and made it into the top league. Our year 5 team then came through an epic penalty shoot-out to finish in the second division! You could see the progress that each team made throughout the tournament and they both finished in incredible positions! Our year 6s ended up winning the whole tournament (out of 15 other teams!) and will now go onto the county finals next year! Our year 5s finished 3rd in their groups and are taking home bronze wristbands!
